Solar Wind Up Radio, AM/FM Emergency Radio with Torch and Phone Charging
Solar Wind Up Radio, AM/FM Emergency Radio with Torch and Phone Charging
Description
A solar wind up radio for the days the power is off and the phone signal is patchy: wind the handle, leave it on a windowsill in daylight, or top it up by USB-C before a storm, and you have FM and AM news in the house without a single battery to buy. This is the larger emergency radio in our range, with a carry handle, a bright front torch and a wide reading light built into the top.
The USB output can give a phone a top-up when there is nothing else, so you can still send a message or check the latest from your network. The built-in compass on the top is a small extra for the car or the grab bag. The tuning dial runs FM 87 to 108 MHz, which covers BBC and local stations in the UK.
It measures about 16 x 6 x 8.5 cm and weighs around 610 g, so it sits happily on a kitchen shelf or in the top of a bag. Like every wind up radio, it should be charged before it goes away and checked every few months.
In the pack: radio, USB-C cable, wrist strap and instructions.
